Hungary Expels Two Ukrainian Diplomats Over Espionage Claims

Hungary has expelled two employees of the Ukrainian embassy in Budapest, according to the country's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

In a video message posted on Facebook, the head of Hungarian diplomacy accused the Ukrainian diplomats of espionage. "Today we have expelled two spies from Hungary, who worked under the cover of diplomatic duties at the Ukrainian embassy in Budapest," Szijjarto announced.

The Ukrainian side has not yet responded to the expulsion. Earlier today, Ukraine's Security Service revealed that it had uncovered a Hungarian espionage network operating against Ukraine's interests.

Official Budapest, however, has dismissed the allegations as propaganda. Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto also stated that they had not yet received any information from official Kyiv regarding these claims.
