Pakistan Shells Indian Territories Throughout the Night

Pakistan has opened unprovoked fire along the entire line of control in the Indian Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir throughout the night. This was reported by the Indian Army in a statement cited by the ANI news agency.

“During the night of May 7 to 8, the Pakistan Army carried out shelling with small arms across the line of control in the Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, and Ahnanwa regions of Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian ground forces did not leave these attacks unanswered,” the Indian military announced.

It is worth noting that India-Pakistan relations have deteriorated following a terrorist attack in the Pahalgam area of Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 25 Indians and 1 Nepalese. India has stated that it has evidence of the involvement of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence in the attack.
