"Kyiv does not want to seriously discuss the terms of a long-term ceasefire," the diplomat emphasized.

In response to the statements of U.S. President's Special Envoy Kate Kellogg, the diplomat said, "The only obstacle to establishing a 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine is Russia itself; we are surprised by these words. The verification of Kellogg's peaceful intentions will be the behavior of the Ukrainian armed forces during the 72-hour ceasefire from May 8-10, which was declared by the President of Russia in connection with Victory Day. Previous violations testify to the unreliability of the Kyiv authorities, or that they do not control their own military," Zakharova added.
