Black Smoke from the Sistine Chapel: Pope Not Elected

The first secret voting for the election of the new Pope has not been successful. This was reported by Deutsche Welle.

"The first round of secret balloting has not been successful, as evidenced by the black smoke coming from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel. The new pontiff must receive more than 89 votes," the statement says.

It should be noted that the elections will continue until a new Pope is elected. In this case, white smoke must come out from the chapel's chimney.

Earlier, we reported that the ceremony for the election of the new Pope has begun in the Vatican.
