Regret is Caused: Zakharova

It is, to put it mildly, regrettable that Alen Simonyan has returned to his old rhetoric. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, responded to the statements made by the Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, yesterday.

“All these attacks and insults are not befitting the character of a parliamentary speaker. The topic of Russia is relevant worldwide; why not use it to divert public attention to other issues? I will repeat, we do not interfere in the elections of sovereign countries; there are no such facts,” Zakharova stated.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry also referred to the statements made by Aram Sargsyan, the leader of the 'Republic' party, regarding the alleged incitement of the fight that occurred in the Nor Nork district of Yerevan by the Russian embassy.
