Need for a Putin-Trump Meeting: Peskov

The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, has stated that a meeting between the presidents of Russia and the USA, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, is necessary, but currently there is no clarity on its organization.

Peskov noted that there is no scheduled visit to the Middle East for Putin in mid-May. Nevertheless, he emphasized that such a meeting is indeed necessary and should be properly prepared. “Such a meeting requires appropriate preparation at various expert levels,” Peskov said. He added that currently, there is no specific information regarding this matter.
