Grandfather of 2-Year-Old Boy Discusses His Disappearance

Mariam Z.

It has been 24 hours since emergency responders have been searching for 2-year-old Tigran, who reportedly fell into the Marmarik River yesterday. The incident occurred in the morning. The child's father and grandfather were working near some vehicles when the children were sent home, but it became clear that only one of the little ones had made it home.

This was reported by ArmLur. The hypothesis is that the child entered the yard of their home, then passed through an adjacent plot of land, exiting onto the road behind the house, where, under certain circumstances, he fell into the river.

When the sister entered the house, the mother inquired about the boy's whereabouts, and the 3-4 year old sister said that he was not with her. The parents tried calling out to find him and, after searching the neighborhood without success, alerted the rescuers about the possibility that the child had fallen into the river.

Interestingly, the security cameras from a nearby store recorded the events around the house, but the moment the child fell into the river was not captured on any of the cameras.

Search and rescue operations are still ongoing. Rescuers worked throughout the night at the Aghburi Reservoir in the well-known Tsovinar area. Currently, over 40 divers are searching for the child. The search efforts also involve employees from the National Police Patrol Service, rescuers, relatives of the child, and local villagers.

As a reminder, yesterday, May 4, between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, reports spread in Marmarik village of the enlarged community of Tsaghkadzor that 2-year-old Tigran had fallen into the Marmarik River.
