Car Accident in Syunik Region: One Dead and Injured

On April 29, at 16:06, a call was received at the Syunik regional rescue service's crisis management center regarding a traffic accident on the Goris-Hartashen highway, reporting injuries.

A firefighting and rescue squad from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that cars of the Lexus, VAZ, and Renault brands collided at the 7th kilometer of the Goris-Hartashen highway, resulting in the death of the VAZ vehicle driver.

Prior to the arrival of the rescuers, the driver and passenger of the Lexus were transported to a medical center. Rescuers disconnected the vehicles, closed the gas cylinder valves, and used special equipment to retrieve the driver’s body from the VAZ vehicle and transfer it to a vehicle for transporting bodies.
