Entrepreneurs Again Protest Outside Government

Entrepreneurs are once again holding a protest outside the Armenian government, demanding a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“There has been no response so far; otherwise, we wouldn’t be here. Our accountants have collected around 1,500 signatures today, although we are not continuing the signature collection. We are citizens who work hard and want our demands to be heard. Perhaps he has been misinformed, but when this many citizens come to the government, at least he should listen once,” said individual entrepreneur Karine Gevorgyan.

Zoia Torosyan from the Association of Entrepreneurs highlighted that all SMEs have loans and are “struggling under them,” barely managing to cover family expenses. She noted that they have come to the government around ten times, but Pashinyan has not kept his promise to listen to each citizen.

Naïri Sargsyan, an economist and the leader of the “I am Armenia” initiative, came to meet with the citizens, emphasizing that he would try to discuss solutions to combat the issues they face.

“We need concrete solutions. There is no option to talk to them (referring to the Armenian government); they do not understand what dialogue is. We need to speak to them in the language of compulsion,” Sargsyan stated.
