Rubio on the Possibility of War Between the US and Iran
The US truly does not wish to start a war with Iran, yet Washington is still far from any agreement with Tehran. This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with The Free Press.
“Suffice it to say, I believe the US has other options, but we do not want it to reach that point of tension. We are far from any agreement with Iran and understand that it is difficult and complicated. Unfortunately, this happens quite often. But the United States is committed to achieving a peaceful outcome that is acceptable to everyone,” he said.
Rubio also expressed doubts that Tehran has a clear vision of what a potential agreement between the countries would look like, as Iran has its own internal processes that they must first address.
