Peskov Responds to US Threats

Russia welcomes US efforts aimed at resolving the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, in response to the statement made by US Vice President J.D. Vance that both sides have received clearly defined proposals for achieving peace from Washington.

“The United States continues its mediation efforts. We welcome those efforts and continue our communications. There are many nuances regarding the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, where we need to discuss and align our positions. This work continues,” Peskov said during a press briefing with reporters.

On April 23, J.D. Vance stated that it is time for Russia and Ukraine to accept Washington's proposals for resolving the conflict. Otherwise, the politician threatened that the US would withdraw from the negotiation process.
