Harvard Sues Trump Administration
Harvard University has filed a lawsuit against the administration of President Donald Trump over the blocking of billions of dollars in funding. This was reported by the student newspaper Harvard Crimson.
The university accuses the government of conducting an illegal and unconstitutional campaign.
Harvard is seeking a ruling that the freeze on $2.2 billion in funding, as well as any measures held due to "unconstitutional requirements," is unlawful.
According to the university, the cancellation of funding aims to force the institution to change its governance structure, revise its academic programs, and modify its employment practices. This contradicts the First Amendment of the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech, according to the university.
