Trump Issues Order

As a mark of respect for His Holiness Pope Francis, I hereby order that on the day of his funeral, until sunset, the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and throughout the entire United States and its territories.

This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump on social media.

"I also order that during the same period, U.S. flags be flown at half-staff at all U.S. embassies, diplomatic missions, consular offices, and other agencies operating abroad, including all military agencies, naval vessels, and stations," he emphasized.

Trump referred to the late Pope as a "good man" during the Easter celebrations at the White House. According to the New York Post, Trump may attend the Pope's funeral.

It is noted that Pope Francis passed away today, April 21.
