Why Don't You Mention That Someone in Vardenis Owned Property Exceeding 3 Million? Ghazaryan
Attempts are being made to justify the increase in property tax with expensive apartments built in the center of Yerevan. This was stated by Arman Ghazaryan, a member of the "Armenia" parliamentary faction, during a speech in the National Assembly. He criticized the bill concerning the rise in property tax.
"This is not just a property tax. In the regions, you are establishing a single tax category that combines the land tax and property tax, which has significantly increased the land tax. You only mention the luxury tax, but why don't you say that someone in Vardenis owned property exceeding 3 million, for which they previously paid 200 drams in land tax, and now will have to pay 5000 or 8000 drams, while the income from land continues to diminish," Ghazaryan said.
