Trump's Tariffs Could Hinder Tesla's Plans

Trump's tariffs against China may disrupt Tesla's plans to launch mass production of the Cybercab robotaxi and the Semi electric truck, Reuters reports.

The parts necessary for the vehicles have been sourced from China. Tesla was prepared to absorb additional costs when Trump imposed a 34% tariff on Chinese goods, but it was unable to do so when tariffs exceeded that threshold, which halted plans for the supply of vehicle parts.
