US President Donald Trump has stated that Iran is pinning its hopes on a nuclear deal but is still unsure how to finalize it. The White House leader's remarks were cited by Interfax.
Trump reiterated that Iran must cease the development of nuclear weapons. “Iran can become more powerful, but to do that, it must renounce its nuclear weapons; there is no other way,” said the US President.
On April 12, indirect negotiations took place between Iran and the US in Oman, during which the parties exchanged views through intermediaries. The meeting lasted for more than two hours.
