Iran and Azerbaijan Joint Efforts to Begin Soon
In the coming weeks, a joint transportation committee between Iran and Azerbaijan will commence its work. This was stated by Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadegh, as reported by the APA news agency.
She noted that the purpose of establishing the committee is to expedite the implementation of joint projects in the transport sector, including rail, road, air, and maritime transport.
The minister also mentioned that additional agreements have been signed in the fields of trade, transportation, energy, oil, and gas.
According to Farzaneh Sadegh, documents will be prepared regarding agreements in the areas of borders, transportation, customs, trade, ports, and navigation before Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's visit to Azerbaijan. She emphasized that in recent years, Iran and Azerbaijan have successfully implemented joint initiatives in the fields of transit and transportation, and it is expected that a new phase in the relations between the two countries will begin.
