Instead of Restraining Him, He Began Teaching Lessons to the U.S. - Fidan

The U.S. must restrain Netanyahu and set clear boundaries for him. This was stated by Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

According to him, U.S. President Donald Trump came to power promising to end the conflicts in Palestine and Ukraine and to prevent a new global war. “Now, as the new U.S. administration tries to send a certain message to the world, a situation arises where another player, utilizing the capabilities and support of the U.S., throws down a challenge to the U.S. Instead of the U.S. restraining him, he begins to 'teach lessons' to the U.S. This, of course, is a kind of power struggle between them. The question is, who is the primary player in this situation?” Fidan noted.

He also mentioned that Trump is not someone who would tolerate a method of concealing favoritism under the guise of cooperation. “He sympathizes with Zionism, supports Israel, and his circle consists of individuals chosen and appointed in that direction. But, in the end, he would not want to hear, 'Here’s the man from Israel, he does everything that Israel commands.' I believe he wouldn’t want that. In my opinion, a person who enters into such a confrontation with the world will not shy away from settling accounts with Netanyahu,” concluded the Turkish Foreign Minister.
