EU Suspends Tariffs Against the US for 90 Days

The EU has postponed tariffs against the United States in response to measures imposed by President Trump for 90 days. This announcement was made by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

“We have taken note of President Trump’s statement. We want to give negotiations a chance. By finalizing the EU's countermeasures, which have received strong support from member states, we will suspend them for 90 days,” von der Leyen stated. She added that if the negotiations fail, countermeasures will be enacted.
