Rubio Excludes Concessions to the Russian Federation
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has ruled out concessions to the Russian Federation that would contradict the red lines of the EU and Ukraine. The statement was made by the head of European diplomacy, Kaia Kallas, according to Reuters.
According to Kallas, the head of the U.S. State Department has assured that Washington will not make concessions that 'contradict the interests and red lines of Ukraine and Europe.'
The European diplomacy chief also emphasized the importance of U.S. contribution within the North Atlantic Alliance and urged European countries to strengthen their capabilities.
On April 1, European diplomacy head Kaia Kallas announced that EU countries themselves must decide whether they are ready to send their military forces as peacekeepers to Ukraine. Additionally, she called for increased pressure on the Russian Federation through restrictive measures.
