Putin Ready to Strike a Deal, Trump Says

European leaders have failed to work with Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv, said U.S. President Donald Trump, expressing confidence that he, unlike them, will succeed.

According to Trump, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy "wants to make a deal" regarding the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict.

"And I believe President Putin is ready to make a deal," he told reporters on his plane en route from Washington to Miami. The U.S. President opined that there is progress in discussions regarding a resolution.
