How Many Minefield Maps Have Been Provided to Azerbaijan?

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded to Azerbaijan's demand for the provision of minefield maps. In reply to a query from "Factinfo," the ministry stated that, recognizing the importance of addressing humanitarian issues, Armenia unilaterally provided Azerbaijan with a total of 972 records of mined areas on June 12, July 3, October 19, November 1, and November 29, 2021, without any preconditions.

Furthermore, adhering to the principles of cooperation in humanitarian matters, Armenia compiled new maps of mined areas through inquiries and plans to transfer them to Azerbaijan at the beginning of 2024. Azerbaijan continues to question the accuracy of these maps, despite repeated declarations from our side that there are no "better or more accurate" maps available. Armenia is prepared, as before, to verify the accuracy of these maps with the involvement of international experts.

Additionally, it should be noted that the International Court of Justice has unequivocally rejected Azerbaijan's request for interim measures against Armenia, in which Azerbaijan accused Armenia of mine planting.
