After the United States imposed tariffs on Chinese goods, China promised to implement countermeasures. This was stated by a spokesperson from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, as reported by Financial One.
"China is firmly opposed to this and will undertake countermeasures to protect its rights and interests," the Ministry's statement reads.
China's response did not take long, as it plans to impose tariffs of 34% on goods imported from the United States.
