23 Million Dram Expensive Purchase at the Judicial Council

23 Million Dram Expensive Purchase at the Judicial Council

The Judicial Council has made another expensive purchase. By the decision of President Arthur Atabekyan, 23 million drams have been allocated for the modernization of fire safety systems. A competition was announced, with two companies participating: "Ellips G.A." and "SOS Systems" LLC, the latter of which was declared the winner.

The Judicial Council stated that this concerns the adjustment and modernization of fire safety systems for all courts. This was reported by the newspaper "Hraparak".

It is noteworthy that "SOS Systems," the winning company, was fined 21 million drams by the Competition Protection Commission in 2020 for abusing its monopolistic position. The Committee noted that the company had abused its monopolistic position by establishing or applying discriminatory conditions (including prices) in unjustified sales, maintaining unjustified high prices, and setting unjustified prices compared to other economic entities or consumers.

The director of this company, Vahagn Tsaturyan, is known for his versatility, having managed to work with both previous and current authorities to advance his business interests.
