I Did Not Feel Bad About the Words of My Azerbaijani Counterpart: Khandomyan

Armenia is advancing the peace process, stated Sargis Khandomyan, a member of the Civil Contract party.

"I believe we should continue to work with this mindset. Of course, it is not a one-sided process, but nonetheless, we have achieved some results," Khandomyan said.

Khandomyan did not wish to comment on the words of his Azerbaijani counterpart, who referred to him as a "populist."

"I do not share that view, but if that is the perception, it is not a problem for me to be considered a populist if it is aimed at peace. Populism is not a terrible word; let us not be afraid of it. I absolutely did not feel bad about it," Khandomyan emphasized.

It should be noted that the chairman of the Foreign and Interparliamentary Relations Committee of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis, Samad Seyidov, rejected Khandomyan's proposal for a meeting between the committees.
