Traffic Police Inspector Sentenced to Imprisonment
On February 13, 2025, the Anti-Corruption Court sentenced A.P., who held the position of inspector in the Traffic Police, to 4 years of imprisonment. A.P. was charged on February 8, 2020, under the first part of the third clause of Article 311 of the Criminal Code, enacted on April 18, 2003, for receiving a bribe through extortion.
On March 19, 2020, the prosecutor confirmed the accusation against A.P. and forwarded the case materials to the competent court.
On February 13, 2025, the Anti-Corruption Court found that A.P. had committed a criminal offense and established his guilt in carrying out the crime, resulting in a guilty verdict. As a penalty, A.P. was sentenced to imprisonment for a duration of 4 years. The court took into account the time already spent in custody, resulting in a final sentence of imprisonment for 3 years, 10 months, and 19 days.
