Fuel Prices Rise: 'Joghourt'
In January-February 2025, the fuel sector experienced unstable pricing. Here, we present the inflation recorded in non-food products during the same period. This is reported by the daily newspaper 'Joghourt.'
According to the data from the Statistical Committee, in February 2025, compared to February 2024, the price level in the market for non-food products decreased by 0.3%, while a 0.8% inflation was recorded compared to January 2025. In 10 surveyed settlements across the Republic, prices for non-food products increased by 0.2-1.2% in February 2025 compared to January, with one location maintaining the prices of the previous month. In the capital, prices for non-food products rose by 1.0%.
In February 2025, compared to January, a 0.1% decrease in gasoline prices was recorded in the Republic, while the price level of diesel fuel remained unchanged from the previous month. Non-food products include various types of fuel.
Thus, in February 2025, compared to February 2024, the Republic experienced a 0.6% increase in gasoline prices and a 5.0% decrease in diesel fuel prices, while compared to December 2024, increments of 0.4% and 0.9% were recorded respectively. Furthermore, in February 2025, compared to February 2024, a 29.0% decrease in liquid hydrocarbons (such as butane, propane, etc.) was observed, with a 32.1% decline noted compared to January 2025. The average monthly price of liquid hydrocarbons (butane, propane, etc.) in February 2025 was 143.1 drams.
