Elon Musk Sells X Social Network to Himself

Billionaire Elon Musk announced on X that he has sold the social network to his own xAI startup, which is focused on artificial intelligence development. The platform is estimated to be valued at $33 billion. Musk originally purchased the social network in 2022 for $44 billion. Following the merger, the total value of xAI is now $80 billion.
“The future of X and xAI is intertwined. Today we are officially taking a step toward the integration of data, models, computing power, and talent,” the entrepreneur wrote.
