Husband Claims Nurse Administered Injection to His Wife in Hospital, She Died One Minute Later
On March 24, a tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 01:50, the police department of the Community Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received information that a woman who had undergone surgery for "acute intestinal obstruction" had died in one of the medical centers operating in the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan. The police officers of the Shengavit division determined that the deceased was 68-year-old Roza M., a resident of Vayots Dzor Province. Documents regarding the incident have been prepared at the Shengavit police department and sent to the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Shengavit investigative division in Yerevan.
According to the website, Roza M.’s husband, 67-year-old Artavazd M., a resident of Vayots Dzor Province, informed investigators at the Shengavit division that around 23:00 on March 23, the on-duty nurse Hasmik administered some injection to his wife, Roza M., in his presence, and that she died approximately one minute later.
Based on the incident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Shengavit Investigative Division. Auroranews contacted the Investigative Committee, where they stated that a criminal case has been initiated regarding the death of a person in the hospital under the features of Article 187, Part 2 of the Criminal Code. A forensic examination has been appointed.
