The First Group of Serjeants from the Newly Established System Takes on Its Mission
On March 25, a solemn swearing-in ceremony for the soldiers of the newly established serjeant system of the Armenian Armed Forces took place at the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy. The event was attended by Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, high-ranking military officers, family members of the serjeants, and guests.
During the ceremony, the titles of professional serjeants were awarded and presented by Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and the serjeants' family members, thereby emphasizing the importance of support from the military leadership and family in military service. Defense Minister Suren Papikyan delivered a congratulatory speech to the professional serjeants.
The first group of serjeants from the newly established system is officially taking on its mission today. They have undergone extensive training and are ready to continue their service in a new capacity, contributing to the enhancement of the Armenian army's defensive capabilities and the strengthening of discipline. The implementation of this system is a significant step in the modernization and reform process of the armed forces.
