Street Terrorism: Erdogan Accuses Opposition
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the opposition of being involved in "street terrorism" and attacks on the police. This statement comes against the backdrop of protests supporting arrested Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) had previously called for protests in support of İmamoğlu.
Authorities in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir have extended the ban on protests until March 27.
