Former President of the Philippines Arrested by The Hague Court
Former President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte has been arrested by the decision of The Hague International Criminal Court. This is mentioned in the court's respective announcement.
Duterte was detained on Tuesday, March 11, at Manila's airport for “crimes against humanity.” According to the court's press release, the ICC has “sufficient grounds to believe” that the former president “bears personal responsibility” and is an indirect accomplice to the alleged killings that occurred in the Philippines from November 1, 2011, to March 16, 2019.
