US Hasn’t Identified Who Is Behind Cyberattack on X
Washington has not yet determined who is behind the major cyberattack on businessman Elon Musk's social network, X, as reported by the Associated Press on Tuesday, citing sources.
A U.S. administration official familiar with the investigation told the agency that authorities still do not know who is behind the attack, which left thousands of users unable to access the platform.
The official emphasized that Washington takes all cyberattacks against American companies very seriously.
On Monday, Musk stated that X had been subjected to a very strong cyberattack, noting that the hackers had “IP addresses originating from Ukrainian territory.” Cybersecurity experts caution that this does not necessarily imply that the attack is coming from Ukraine.
