Armenia Granted Right to Export Fish Products to Europe

Starting from March 16, Armenia officially has the right to begin exporting high-quality aquatic cultures, including trout and related products (caviar and fish roe), to European Union countries. This information was conveyed by the EU Delegation to Armenia.

This opportunity has been established under the newly adopted European Commission's implementing regulation (EU) 2025/354, provided that exporting businesses must be registered in the EU TRACES system.

“Although Armenia has no outlet to the sea, the aquaculture sector is quite developed and is strictly regulated by the Food Safety Inspection Body. Thanks to the persistent efforts of this body and the support of partners from the European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (SANTE), the technical process that has been underway for several years towards the granting of permission has successfully concluded,” the statement said.

This significant event marks an important step in Armenia’s economic diversification, creating new opportunities for growth and global cooperation.
