Clashes in Syria Between Assad Supporters and Government Forces

Clashes have erupted in Syria between government forces and Alawite militias supporting former president Bashar al-Assad. The supporters of the former president have launched three attacks against Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, which came to power in the country last December.

At least 16 members of the current Ministry of Defense and the General Directorate of Security have been killed. The exact number of casualties and injuries remains unknown.
