France Responds to US Decision

The French government has expressed opposition to the suspension of military assistance to Kyiv by the United States, stating that this would delay the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.

“If we want peace, will the decision to suspend the supply of weapons to Ukraine reinforce peace or delay it? It will only strengthen the positions of the aggressor,” said Benjamin Haddad, Minister for European Affairs, during an interview on France 2 on Tuesday.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported, citing its sources, that US President Donald Trump had ordered the cessation of all military aid to Ukraine. There has not yet been an official confirmation of this information from the White House.
