A Language of Insulting Each Other 'Through Signals' Has Developed: Simonian
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, delivered a speech regarding the proposed amendments to the law on administrative offenses.
"In those cases where we have actions to take, we must do so and tighten measures. Many things are becoming stricter. For instance, I believe we need to understand the aspect of giving signals. The act of signaling, where one person gives a 'signal' and the other responds longer, followed by a quick response from one and a lengthy one from the other; a whole language has developed for insulting and clarifying relations 'through signals' during interactions, which then turns into a fight," he stated.
Regarding the issue of listening to music in vehicles, Simonian noted that it feels as if a barbecue has just been brought into the car, punctuated by the sound of a small band seated inside.
Alen Simonian called for stricter measures regarding such instances, but emphasized that the legislation aimed at mitigation is targeted specifically at individuals engaged in passenger and cargo transportation.
It should be reminded that the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, had stated in a live broadcast on Radio Aurora that a legislative change has been initiated, with the authors being the working drivers in our country. Alen Simonian, Ruben Rubinyan, and Armen Khachatryan propose increasing the penalty points for drivers from 9 to 13.
