Announcement Regarding Electric Motor Vehicles: State Revenue Committee

The Eurasian Economic Commission's Council decision N 134, dated November 24, 2023, has established a quota for the import of electric motor vehicles classified under HS code 8703 80 000 2 with a 0% import duty for the year 2025, amounting to 8,000 vehicles. This was reported by the State Revenue Committee on their Facebook page.

According to the Armenian government decision N 1876-N, dated November 28, 2024, the distribution is made as follows:

1. Subject entities that import vehicles under a dealer-distributor agreement with auto manufacturers may process up to 3,000 vehicles with import duty exemption.
2. Entities that do not fall under the first point, including individuals, may import up to 5,000 vehicles.

The Committee reports that as of February 27, 2025, a total of:

1. 432 vehicles or 14.4% of the allocated quota (3,000 vehicles) were processed by subject entities under the dealer-distributor agreements.
2. 4,718 vehicles or approximately 94.4% of the second quota (5,000 vehicles) were processed by entities not mentioned in the first point.
