Which Violations Will Increase Penalty Points

Drivers of vehicles are allocated 9 penalty points each year, and based on the number of violations, these points are deducted. If the points reach zero, the right to drive is suspended.

This information was shared by MP Armen Khachatryan during a session of the permanent committee in the National Assembly. He stated, “According to the project, instead of 9 penalty points, 13 points are being proposed. If we increase the points to 13, then in some sense, the severity of the punishment for violations will also decrease. Therefore, to equalize this, we will increase the penalty points for certain accident-related violations.”
