Current Situation on Roads in Armenia

The road from the Yeraskh village turnoff to the Vayots Dzor region is closed for freight trucks with trailers. The Vardenyats Pass (due to snow) is closed for freight trucks with trailers and is difficult to navigate for other vehicles.

The roads in the Aragatsotn region are difficult to navigate for trucks. The roads from the Shaki checkpoint, Noravan-Ltsen, Syunik village-Shinuhayr-Tatev-Goris, and from the Meghri area known as ‘Vardani dzor’ to Kajaran are closed for freight trucks with trailers and are difficult to navigate for other vehicles.

The Alagyaz-Artik, M-3 road leading to Lernapar, Dashatadem and Katnarrat roads are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles. There are patches of black ice in the Spitak curves and on the roads in the Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, and Syunik regions. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

Regarding the Lars situation: According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia’s Emergency Department and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia of Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed only for freight trucks.
