Hundreds of Thousands Sign Petition to Strip Elon Musk of Citizenship

The House of Commons of the Canadian Parliament has published a petition demanding that American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk be stripped of his Canadian citizenship, arguing that he is engaged in activities contrary to the national interests of their country. According to TASS, nearly 160,000 people have signed the petition thus far.

The petition states: 'We, the undersigned citizens of Canada, call on the Prime Minister to revoke Elon Musk's dual citizenship status and immediately cancel his Canadian passport.' The reasons cited in the resolution include Musk's use of 'his wealth and power' to influence Canadian elections, as well as his connections to foreign governments that are 'attempting to undermine Canada's sovereignty.'

It has been reported that the signature collection will continue until June 20, 2025.
