Strong Eruption on the Sun
On Sunday morning, a strong M-class solar eruption was recorded on the Sun. This was reported by the Institute of Applied Geophysics.
“On February 23, an M4.9 eruption lasting 23 minutes was registered in the group of sunspots 4001 (N25W82) in the X-ray range,” the statement said.
It is worth noting that solar eruptions are classified into five classes based on the intensity of X-ray radiation: A, B, C, M, and X.
