Average Salary Increased While Taxes Decreased, Papoyan

In 2024, the average salary has increased while taxes have decreased. This was stated by the Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan on his Facebook page.

“This is the growth of the average monthly salary. In 2024, the average monthly salary in Armenia has exceeded 287,000 drams. This figure was 172,700 drams in 2018. This means that the average salary has increased by 66 percent. However, while the average weighted income tax was 25.3% in 2018, it is 20% in 2024, which means that taxes have decreased by 5.3%. Note that from 2013 to 2018, the average salary increased by only 26,200 drams, whereas from 2018 to 2024, it has increased by 114,500 drams,” he noted.
