Your Country Is Being Taken Away Before the Eyes of the World: Zakharova

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, made a statement regarding Canada’s potential accession to the United States. This was reported by 'RIA Novosti'.

“Do you know what is truly laughable in all of this? That yesterday at the G20 Foreign Ministers' meeting, Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly devoted her entire speech to how she will protect her country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Zakharova wrote.

“Your country is being taken away before the eyes of the world, and you sit there pretending that you can guarantee someone else’s independence. This is already very bad in a game like this,” she added.
