Road Closures and Difficult Passages Across Armenia

There are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads throughout Armenia. This is reported by the Emergency Situations Service.

All roads in the Lori region are closed. The roads leading from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to Kary Lake and the Amberd Fortress are closed in the Aragatsotn region.

Inter-community roads in the Amasia and Ashotsk regions, the Berd-Chambarak, Fantan-Jraberd, Kaputan-Hatis-Zovashen, and Karmrashen-Gosketas-Zovasar-Garnahovit roads are closed for all types of vehicles.

All roads in the Lori region and the Vardenyats Pass (snow, fog, blizzard) are closed for trucks and difficult to navigate for other vehicles. The roads in Dilijan, the Tigranashen bends, and the road from the village of Syunik to Tatev are closed for trailers, while the Artashavan-Tzilkar road is closed for trucks.

The roads from Spitak to Gyumri and from the Jermuk intersection towards the Syunik region are closed for trailer trucks and difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles. The Vanadzor-Spitak (up to 12 km), Vanadzor-Dzoraget, Vanadzor-Dilijan, Vanadzor-Stepantsminda (up to the bends), and Talin-Mastara roads are closed for trucks.

The Gyumri-Bavra, intercommunity roads in the Artik region, and roads leading from M-2 to Jermuk city and from M-3 to the village of Shenkani are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles, while the roads in the Tavush region are closed for trucks.

The Saravan-Zanger road is difficult to navigate for passenger cars. Snow is present in the Syunik, Armavir, Lori, and Vayots Dzor regions.

In the Tavush region, the Alagyaz area roads and Tigranashen bends (blizzards), and sections of the Gyumri-Yerevan road at the Hayrenats and Lanjik villages (blizzard) have spotty black ice.

There is a blizzard on the Yerevan-Sevan 25-40 km section, Lanjik-Mastara, Horum-Artik-Mets Mantash, Gyumri-Jajur, Charentsavan-Fantan, and Charentsavan-Arzakan roads. Fog is reported in the Ashtarak region.
