Pope Francis May Resign from the Throne

Pope Francis could resign from the throne, just like his predecessor Benedict XVI, if he faces health issues. This was stated by Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, the president of the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Culture.

“If Pope Francis struggles to perform his papal duties, he will make his choice. I believe he may decide to resign. It is his decision to make; the final word is his,” he said.

It is worth noting that Pope Francis has been hospitalized since February 14 due to bilateral pneumonia.
