Be Tougher with Putin, Macron Tells Trump

French President Emmanuel Macron is urging White House leader Donald Trump to be tougher with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported by France 24.

"I am going to tell him, you cannot be lenient with Putin. It is not in your interest," said Macron.

The French president also noted that he does not plan to send troops to Ukraine. "France is considering providing security guarantees to Ukraine following a possible ceasefire agreement with Russia," he added.
