What is Required for Artsakh Residents After Obtaining Armenian Citizenship
From the moment an individual displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh applies for Armenian citizenship and receives a notification that the President of Armenia has granted them citizenship, their passport with the '070' code becomes invalid. This has been reported by the Migration and Citizenship Service.
Due to the invalidation, issues may arise regarding the receipt of pensions and benefits, conducting banking transactions, obtaining visas for other countries, or traveling abroad.
“We urge individuals to apply for an Armenian citizenship passport immediately after receiving the notification. If you are in Armenia, you need to present yourself at the Migration and Citizenship Service at Davtashen, 4th district, address 17/10. If you are in a foreign country, you should contact the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Armenia,” the statement reads.
