Former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan to Try to Convince Trump
“I strive to convince Trump and his team to intervene in the resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. If Trump wants to be a peacemaker, this is a great opportunity for him,” said Matthew Bryza, former US ambassador to Azerbaijan and former co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, in an interview with Vesti.az.
He emphasized the importance of reinstating the US diplomatic role in the peace process. According to Bryza, the parties are close to peace: “We know that both sides are close to an agreement, but Pashinyan faces serious political resistance. I hope Trump will want to contribute. We will see. For now, he is focused on consolidating his power in Washington and prioritizes peace between Ukraine and Russia,” he highlighted.
