Current Situation on Armenia's Highways

There are closed and difficult-to-navigate highways in the territory of Armenia. This is reported by the Emergency Service.

The highways leading from the "Amberd" high-mountain meteorological station in the Ararat region to Kharij Lake and Amberd Fortress are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for heavy trucks due to snow, fog, and blizzard conditions, while it is difficult to traverse for other vehicles.

The roads from the junction in the city of Jermuk to the city of Kapan, and from the village of Syunik to Tatev, are closed for trucks with trailers. The Artashavan-Tsilkhar highway is closed for heavy trucks.

The Spitak bends, Vanadzor-Alaverdi, Vanadzor-Dilijan, and Vanadzor-Stepanavan highways are closed for heavy trucks and trucks with trailers. All highways in the Lori region are difficult to navigate.

In the area known as Saravan-Zanger, there is snowfall in Gegharkunik (except for the cities of Vardenis and Martuni), Kotayk, Syunik, Ararat, Armavir, Aragatsotn, Tavush, Lori, Shirak regions, and in the city of Jermuk.

In the Tavush region, on the roads of Alagyaz, and in the Tigranashen bends, there is black ice in some areas due to fog.

Blizzard conditions are present in the regions of Aragats, Talin, as well as on the Yerevan-Sevan highway at km 25-40, and on the Horum-Artik-Mets Mantash, Charentsavan-Fantan, and Charentsavan-Arzakan highways.
